The people in our lives who are seemingly harming us with their high expectations, restrictions on “having fun”, and constant pressure to study and focus on ourselves are more often than not preparing us for life by strengthening our good habits. Those who we title our “friends” at a young age who are pulling us out of the “crap” are most often those who are slated to hold us back in life. Dr. Chuback recants this lesson in Chapter 2 of Kaboing! which is a lesson that everyone can learn something from.
